NCAA Men's College Cup comes to Hoover Dec. 7-8

HOOVER, AL (WBRC)- The men' college cup is back in Hoover for the second straight year. The nation's top D-1 soccer teams will be kicking off at Regions Park this weekend.

"They are excited," said Creighton head coach Elmar Bolowich. "It's a great venue to play in. I hope we get some good attendance and fill it up. I hope the games are exciting too because it depends so much on how we play."

Last year, the College Cup had close to 9,000 fans in attendance. Event organizers hope to get a crowd of at least 10,000 this year. But you don't have to be soccer expert to enjoy the event.

"It would be a great first experience for someone who has never been to a soccer game," said Creighton sophomore Eric Miller. "Come out the crowd should be great and it will be a good game."

The semifinals begin Friday Dec. 7 and the College Cup will be on Saturday, Dec. 8.
